Thanks. Here is the orignal photo I don't know which is better...
Most of the pictures of NYC sky line is taken from east side of the island usually in Brookyln 'cause you have great view of the downtown and distance is shorter.
This was taken from exchange place, Down town Jersey City, NJ. and the statue is the KATYN FOREST MASSACRE MONUMENT at Exchange Place. here's the link for more info http://www.cityofjerseycity.org/docs/postcard.shtml
You have clear view of the Manhattan so you can fill more into a frame with water and evrything... I used to live there. I moved about month after 9/11

I agree with Hermen about taking away some of the dark bottom. But I like the photo, it is a great perspective. I like the spaces, the sky, the space between the statue and the towers, the lightposts. nice. Where did you take this from? I dont recognize that statue.

I like the silhouette framing because it enhances the 'openness' of the upper left corner, the corner that the statue figure is also facing. Maybe the bottom part is a little bit too much black, so I would consider cropping a part (about half) of that.
