Hmm, the new version didn't upload with my message, I'll try it again.

Here is a version that's cropped to exclude some of the clutter in the lower center of the original. Better? Worse?

I think this site needs more comments like Maggie's, even if I don't always agree. Too many comments are just "Wow, this is really nice!" Good for the ego but not for improving one's photography.

It IS a constructive comment and I do find it helpful, especially now that it's clear you found a lack of a "real point of interest" even after you knew the context, i.e. that it was taken inside a vehicle. So thanks!

Sorry if i have ruffled some feathers...but i dont think it matters where this image was taken...my main point was that i found the image busy with no real point of interest...your exposure was good and DOF was good but the content itself was lacking. I meant it as a constructive comment sorry it didnt come across that way...Maggie

OK, it's not Maggie's monitor, then, that was just a guess. Of course, I'm not the one to judge if it's plain that the photo was taken from inside a vehicle, since I was there at the time! Opinions from others?

The photo is supposed to convey a certain atmosphere, one of desolation and abandonment. I assumed the fact it was inside a vehicle was apparent from the dashboard and visor. Maggie, if your monitor is old and getting dark, you might not be able to see these well. I suppose your eye should be led to the trailer and the mountains, which are framed by the openings in the van. Nothing personal in the photo, just a site I happened across.

The inside of the vehicle isn't important due to the leading lines of the dashboard.

I'm seeing the desert and trailer.

Hi Ken... I find this image a bit confusing. Had you not said the image was taken inside a van i would never have known that it was even a vehicle. I find my eye wondering around the image not focusing on any one thing. Maybe i am just missing the whole point here and there is something that you remember personally about this spot that isnt being reflected in your image....i know this happens to me often. Hope what i have shared makes sense...*smile*..Maggie

That is the very trailer where "Free Fish Stories" can be obtained. While they last.
