Thanks Sue! But first thing I MUST do is own up to that catchlight in Pete's eye. (Pete's the gray one. That was added with photoshop. Aside from a tad of cropping on the top and the bottom, the rest of the image is pretty much as it is on the slide. Yeah, those "salmon walls"...there were some pretty funky colours in some of these rooms when we bought this house. Should have taken some pics in that purple bedroom before we painted. It was bright overcast sky the day I took that pic, and the white cage reflects the colour. (Did I mention that the ceilings were painted the same colour as the walls in this house?)
As far as I know they're not Norwegian Blues, just your run of the mill petstore cockatiels that I had bought from a friend. Nick, the yellow one, is a "latino". I need to get these guys set up for some more pics.
Cute, Chels! I love the sharpness and the bg on this image. The plumage is great, and the catchlight is spot on for the "free bird" (everybody get your lighters - LOL). There seems to be a magenta tint to everything, even the white on the cage, which I imagine is from the salmon wall behind. Is Nick the one out or the one in? It would have been nice to have the full eye of the caged bird so you get more the feeling that he's interested in what's going on and that he wants out too.
All in all, neat photo! I like it!
PS: Are these Norwegian Blues? I hear they stun easily. :-)
