Liked the shot but think it would have been a little better to open up the DOF some. If you were only going for part of the shell to be in focus then good.

If that was the case I might have come at it from a slightly different angle but not being there can't tell for sure.

Interesting shot, if you can turn your camera little bit close to front, I think it will be looks better. Just advise...Still nice shot.
