Thanks for answering my comment, Roger. (By the way, I don't pass that beautiful shrine on my way to work, only when I'm walking the dog!) I might have guessed there'd be a good reason for those blacked out eyes. If I've learned anything from watching your pictures it's to trust your judgement. How long do you think you'll stick with this high contrast very grainy look? I guess it will eventually just join your "bag of tricks" ready to be used whenever a suitable subject turns up. Way to grow! I'm stuck with the stereo thing right now...

A wonderful photo, very well taken and interesting, both the woman and her expression. I also really enjoy the tones and the grain effect. Everything is so perfect except from that I'm having it hard to accept the black eyes. I don't know if you made them black on purpose, or maybe they are not totally black but your screen is lighter than mine? On my screen there are no details in the eyes. She reminds me a lot of "Elaine" in Seinfeld.

A very striking face. And scary with those blacked-out eyes! Why did you do that, Roger? I'd feel so much more at ease given a suggestion of lights in the eyes...

What a catch! Hope you didn't let her get away. Intellegent looking! Sort of looks like a young Edna St. Vincent Millay.......maybe it's the hair. Good image!!

She is neither pink nor pale,
And she never will be all mine;
She learned her hands in a fairy-tale,
And her mouth on a valentine.

She has more hair than she needs;
In the sun 'tis a woe to me!
And her voice is a string of coloured beads,
Or steps leading into the sea.

She loves me all that she can,
And her ways to my ways resign;
But she was not made for any man,
And she never will be all mine.

.........Millay
