Very nice portrait, works well in B/W. good contrast, good composition too. Chris's idea about a sepia tone would be fantastic.

I like this shot a lot and it works well in b&w, actually I don't think it would look right in color at all. I do agree about the other person in the shot but don't take them out on PS just crop on the fold in the flag. Anything to the right of that fold is not really adding anything.
As for the b&w I would also Duotone this shot to give a sepia color to it. It will have the look of a photo of that era.

No. Every time I moved to get a better shot of "Grant" other people got in the way. So this was the best shot. I was going to take him out in PS, but decided not to.

Great shot Mark. Do You have a view taken from the right so that the seated figure is not is view?
