Wow, the stronger colors made a big difference Hugo. Thanks for your input. Maybe I'll try to play with the colors some as you did and see what I get. Thanks again for the comments.
Elizabeth, the pier breaks the emptiness of your photo very well; I think you've made the right choice. The photo is a bit dark, though. As if an extra layer of grey has been added. I changed the levels a bit; it came out more vivid, but looks a bit unnatural. Needs some more fiddling..... Very lovely photo, though.
