This is quite nice...somehow I missed it when posted. I like the gradation in the background. You captured the flower very nicely, a good macro.

I do love this photo. It has pleasant colour, is sharp and pretty. The only thing I find distracting from the flower is the changing tone of the background. It would be better if in fact the background was entirely one tone, I think. Still lovely, and the crop is superb. Good on you!

Marja ..some of the comments here and ratings are so far left of appropriate it is unbelievable. I think that some people need glasses! However with your shot of this lily you have captured and show the classic crop in a macro frame. Well done... crisp and wonderful to look at.Some could use this as a lesson in WHAT TO DO that is right in photography.Lighing is excellent. Well done! This is not a comment posted by Lee Horn but his wife.. so do not make the mistake in identifying the writer of this comment.

This is a very balanced composition...had it been any tighter, too much of the petals would have been cropped out...and had it been taken from farther back, too little of the petals would have been cut out of frame. The way you did it is perfectly pleasing to my eyes. The simple, delicate colours compliment each other, and the sharp focus being on the dark stamens is excellent (therefore, your ability to take advantage of DOF works well for you with this image.) I could not have wanted you to take this picture any other way! Thanks for sharing :)

Composition is good, color and background nice. The DOF is a tad shallow, but not unusual for macro. Pretty nice.
