You would enjoy the Tokyo rush hour. You could combine your portrait-taking skills with capturing the jostling crowds!

Wanted to say "thanks" for the link to the article on making B&W pictures from digital colour originals. I found it very interesting. It was good to see each additional stage in the improvements being made to an already respectable original.

But none of this will do ME any good, because I don't have a digital camera worthy of the name... just a four-or five-year old Nikon with max. resolution of 1.5Mpixels. Perhaps some time in the future, who knows? I haven't got anything against digital except the high cost and rapid obsolescence of the equipment. Oh, and the lack of really WIDE wide-angle lenses. And of rangefinders rather than P&S or SLR. Ummmm, and maybe the vulnerability of the images to software and hardware problems. So, er, well, I guess I DO have a FEW things against digital after all.

Oh! Icky-yukky! Hey! let's put them in a jar and send them to Sarah! This picture is cooler than the ant farm I made in Cub Scouts. And, it's pretty! Very neat, Roger!

WOW. I HATE ants(there's a story there), but that aside--your detail on this is awesome.
