I have had that happen before shooting headstones, I chalk it up to ghosts.

King of spooky. Could be a "ghost" if they even exist. If a bird can get hit mid-pitch by a baseball then I think that something can get into your picture and gone withing 1/30 of a second, I just don't know what would want to do that...

Do you have an automatic film winder/rewinder for your camera? Cause i have read about those making static electricty when its cold outdside. But that is very very rare. And I don't think that is it. theres an article about it on the articles page on UF, its under cold weather photography. It doesnt look like what happened to the guys pic in that article. But i just wanted to throw that out there as an idea. But that is a weird occurance.
