About This snake ( Corallus Enydris ) was just 12 inches long and his head smaller than a finger nail by the time I took this shot with a Nikon 200mm macro lens. I also did use two Nikon SB28 flashunits to lighten it out properly http://www.proframe.org

I LOVE the DOF in this one, Harry! You say you used flash, does that mean there was no glas between you and the snake?
The composition could have been better IMO if there was a little more space in the top and less at the bootom.

Boy, just a glance at this must send shockwaves through the snake-squeamish. Perfect DOF for in-your-face action picture.........Randy

nice shot,Harry, and a very difficult one for sure! You took great advantage of both your super macro Nikkor and the two spedlights to get this image, which might be even better if there wasn't the empty space underneath.
best regards,
Kostas
