It's difficult to supply gas, the only way is to carry it with a little trolley, accross the streets, and sometimes, when there is no central connection, going upstairs ...
Thank you all with your comments, In belgium gas is supplied, quite everywhere, by gas pipes... there are a lot of different works/jobs type existing still in some european countries ... (Shoe shiners, gas suppliers and of course TORRONS (nougats)makers with their specialized shops...).
