I think part of what drives us into altering or manipulating the base image is because whatever pleases us is enhanced even more. The light that was subconscious becomes the main subject.

Hi Mike. I like it-- excellent composition and terrific PS work. Also very dramatic sky. Hope it storms tonight and clears tomorrow afternoon-- high tide and big swells expected;>) I LOST a bunch of good photo files tonight then found them on a 2nd HDD I recently had installed-- WHEW!! I've now got 4 hard drives-- 2 external-- I'm trying to catch up to the Holms;>) Cheers. Craig

Perhaps there is a better angle that this? I like the way the fence draws my eye to the barn and maybe you can use the fence line to your advantage by moving the shot inside the field on the left hand side. Place your camera close the fence at a low angel and fire away. Cool color fx by the way.
Keep it sharp. Jim

It may not be what you are looking for but it is a great shot. I like the effect a lot. You have probably tried this but a standard sepia shot would look really good if the sky was right and you could get some decent shadows in their. That would be my pick...
