This beautiful swirly flower again, and it's lovely! Not as sharp as your newer post of same flower, but sharp enough. And I love the colours and composition!

Well now, as one Roger to another, I take that very kindly, sir! Hard to believe this is the same flower, it looks so different. It must be wonderful to watch them flower, changing as time passes. This is a lovely photograph and I don't miss the peoples' faces! This is quite enough all on its own. Love the out-of-focus background colours, too. It has won its place among my favourites, where it joins many more of yours.

I really like the lighting and coloring on this one. The two things, if addressed, that would help strengthen this image would be better DOF and (circumstances permitting) a little change in positioning to avoid the fork of the branch. I really like the color and texture of the flower, but the bottom and top are too softly focused. Compositionally my eye is brought off the frame by the branch spanning across the right of the image. If possible positioning yourself differently to avoid including that branch would be ideal. I really like how you've placed the flower in the frame though. The blue sky in the background is a great contrast.

HI Roger,

I like your image very much; the way a V is formed lends interest to this, and I don't mind the 'sprouts' in the lower left side! I also like the fact that the whole flower isn't in bloom and the depth of field wonderful,I like the whole effect. Composition is good as are the colors! I like the photograph you created very much!

Lori :)

great colors and details. just a bit more DOF would help at the front.
