Dramatic shadows indeed. Beautifully textured--and rendered--snow. Perfectly placed tree, and a wonderful atmosphere... the brightness of the snow held back just slightly to provide a darker image. The remark about bears coming out of hibernation chimes with my own reaction. I don't think we HAVE bears any longer in England, but that's the feeling. Great picture!

I find this image very striking! But my eye keeps going up to the dark place in the upper right. But I still like your photography! Something about it is appealing; it must be 'speaking' to me, I'm not sure! LOL And I like the dark sky. GOOD job.

The guy just doesn't stop! Great composiiton, the branches at lower left are a bit of a distraction but help keep the image from being "fake". BW a great choice to focus on the branches and shadows. What was burped out of the side of the hill, by the way? Bears after hibernation? Good work Kevin. Tim
