About While everybody who has made a trip to Japan will know of the famous Floating Torii gate at Miyajima it is just up on a hill behind it where another equally stunning structure stands. This is a c1407 five level wooden pagoda. On my visit here one barmy September afternoon it seemed the only visitors were a group of chilled out deer.
