About Beauty knows no bounds. It comes thro' from behind a zoo enclosure in the form of this brilliant mosaic of the Indian Peafowl (Pavo cristatus, the national bird of the country) feathers, presented here as an abstract. I would much rather see this subject in nature, but zoos serve a good purpose too. Was very glad to see him happy.... vet-talk:)!

Nice close abstract of the peafowl Sudhir.

These painted storks are a feral population which escaped from Kolkata zoo and started breeding in a local fisherfolk's cooperative. I often go to watch them. Once I waited till sunset to take the shot 'Ring of Bright Water'. (U'll find that in my portfolio, here).
I've been to duckshooting often but only shot shovellers, pintails, gadwalls, cotton teals and lesser whistling teals. I had seen ferruginous pochards and tufted ducks too, but never saw/shot a mallad in the wild.
Regards.
