I know what this plant can look like and I can see how it is hard to capture the three dimensions of the meaty and hairy leaves. The light is good here, but the composition needs help to get my interest. Maybe a macro?

Nice composition. These leafs looks original to me because of there colour. This ......looks likes sugar on the leafs!!! Well.... surely not! I am sure that there are small hairs (sorry for not known the english word).

A change can be refreshing and I don't mind this image at all, although I partly agree with Jorg.
I agree, constructive criticism encourages us to to better. For me it is a challenge too and sometimes even inspiring. And.....you will do better I have no doubts about it, dear Selina! Look at my first posts, I've learnt a lot since then and tere's still a lot I have to learn. I'm enjoying every bit of the learning thanks to the comments and critics on my and others'work.

Hi Jorg

Yeah - I didn't mean the colours to be so muted. The one I was working on didn't seem so bad. But saying that, the frost on the leaves meant that they were never going to be saturated with colour.

Funny, because I had to reduce the size so much it seems to have lost all it's original effect for me too - and I'm the photographer !!

On the original I could see the ice crystalised on the leaves making it quite beautiful (to my eyes) but I can no longer see the crystals and the photo has lost it's impact.

A lesson learned, I think. Some images just don't agree with being compressed.

No-one ever likes criticism about their images, but sometimes it encourages you to strive for better in what you do. So hopefully I will get better !

Sorry, I do not get it here. Looks like a random shot to me. Dull lighting and colors, I cannot perceive any composition whatsoever. Worlds between this one and the last saw from you and commented on. Sorry. But this is my opinion
