Dear Becky, thanks for your interesting comments. The reason I chose this combination was what I thought of as a continuation from the left to the right glass, but you point about balance is well taken.

I'm always worried I sound insincere when addressing your abstract photos because I seem to like all of them so superlatively, but I just speaks the truth!

Yes. I love this series. Are these just light refractions inside the glass? They seem so concrete and opaque (especially in "Interference") with amazingly solid lines for such long exposures. Overall, I think "Interference" is probably my favourite, though I really like the singular composition of "Wineglass Astronomy" - I just felt there was a bit too much sediment in the glass and that it overpowered the image a bit.

As for this one, since you're asking . . . compositionally two glasses work for me, though for experimentation's sake, I would try flipping the glass on the right horizontally. I think there's a bit too much weight on the left and that might correct it. (?)

And it's just personal preference, but I'd like to see the stems of the glasses extend to the bottom of the photo. For some reason I feel compelled to see the glasses "rooted" rather than "floating".

Awesome series!

Although usually things in threes are optimal, this one caught my eye the most out of this series. The lines are simple, yet intriguing, and the high-key effect works very well to make them stand out.

I like all in your wineglass series, but this one caught my fancy more than the other ones. I feel as if I'm looking at something under a microscope with these... But it's appealing. Not sure why, but thanks for sharing it! )

"Crosstalk" - perfect title. This brings may things to mind but the main thing is how very differently they are speaking to one another.

this one seems to have a lot more dynamics, but it's hard to decide

Hi Stefan. I too like this one the best. I was atttracted to the titles because i work in the Briadcast industry and the are common terms for us. Nice work. Regards Neil
