About I am experimenting with various techniques to create images of trees and forests for a body of work that I am preparing for exhibit. This image of fall birch was done using a slide sandwich technique enhanced in PhotoShop. I will post another using a special filter. Comments appreciated.

It's such an original photograph, and one that draws you in.

Oh, this one's really lovely. I like the monochromatic tones and it feels like a painting. I see scenes like this all the time driving to work when I can't stop - you're inspriring me to get out shooting! Thanks for checking out my portfolio. P.S., tell your buddy John that I'm a GIRL! :-)

John - Thanks for your comment on my images. They are deeply appreciated and very helpful. The attachement here was created with a BuZZ filter that can be downloaded and added to filters in PS. It is a free download up to 30 uses and then you pay for it.

I checked out the sites you linked me to and find Bobbie C's work fascinating and helpful as well.

The panic in the fall image was something I did not immediately see. Now I do and I agree that it may be a bit much. Actually, that image was created from one that was a tighter version of the attachment posted.

Thanks again John and I look forward to more contact with you.

Regards - Bill

Once again, I like the attachment better. But this, time, the ps work takes the image to the next level. The attaachment is my favourite of the posts I have just commented on...

I will come back later when I have more time... in the meantime, check out Bobby C. for some similar work with slide montage...

Here is my favourite image of his: http://www.usefilm.com/image/20443.html

Beautiful image. The haze and the light give this spot in the forest something magic.
I don't know much about the tecnique you used but I like the result you got.
Awesome warm colours, very nice composition.
Look forward to seeing more of your forest shots
Great work, Bill!
