I agree with previous comments about the sky, you seem to have an almost Charlton Heston-like ability to control the clouds... :) The rich fluidity of those flames is great as well. It must have been a brief pause in the rain...

Roger, you do have a way of getting the sky to cooperate with you. It really adds a sense of drama here. I also like the top of the tent showing, pointing toward the flame. He looks like he's about to sneeze, which I assume wouldn't be a good thing. BTW, I'm very grateful that your comment on a photo of mine led me to view your portfolio. A wonderful collection of appealing shots. Your ability to master such a broad range of styles is truly impressive. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot, Roger. Like the way the light from the sun behind the clouds gives him a kind of halo. That often happens with you. Someone up there must like you! And the flames are almost TOO real. The fact that his right foot is in such deep shadow makes it less of a problem that half of it is cut off. Did you take a much wider angle shot with the whole of his unicycle (or whatever it is) showing? Would that have made him too small? It's very effective, of course, to have him up there against the clouds as a background--no clutter that way!

Great shot, Roger! Good exposure and I like the contrast of the flames against the grey clouds. Lorinda in Canberra
