yeah! you recognized the cambodian man! the day after i took that picture, i was in an artisan shop that had many photo books of cambodia. there was a b+w book from YEARS before and i saw the same man. ahh.. tourism.. people can become the scenary.

and i love the heavy blue in this image!

Jim, thanks for your comment. I have a 'zoomed in' vesrion as well, but that one only shows Mt Cook.
I will try compose a panaroma version of this picture, zoomed in a bit more.

This image has fantastic lighting. My eye is really drawn to the snow capped peaks in the distance. I think this might be even stronger if you zoomed in a little more. The foreground rocks really aren't adding to the image that much for me although they do a nice job of framing the water. I very much like the clouds included in the image as that really helps show the height of the mountains. Zooming in would also help reveal more detail to the mountains which really are the focus here.
