Excellent composition in this one with the blue sky as background. This is the way I picture Athens in my mind - bright blue skies. Not with the snow you had in one posting.
Regards,
Jimmy

I think the photo and the colours are superb. Although you could have done something about the composition, i think the crop of Kosti Keventsides is getting near it!
But without a crop, excellent photo, i love Athene and the white excellently combine with the blue of the sky. Wonderfull!!

Excellent picture, very well captured and composed, but who is this guy, Sofocles, Socrates, Plato, Aristofanes (I am running out of names). And who is the godess behind him (Athena?) Very well done and inspirational.
Congratulations! Alex

Light and photo quality is perfect, and colours look great. I'm not sure about the composition though... Feels like if my eyes are bouncing between left and right without any "resting" point. Very good photo though, it's just the composition that confuses me a bit.

Fun I took practicly the same shot in Rome :) The deep blue color is stunning. I do think that the statue could be a little darker (this way it just looks like a house from Santorini).
Still a great clear shot.
Tim.

brilliant color and detail in what must have been a difficult lighting situation...in answer to your question yes those are balloons in the shot (escapees 01)...

Beautiful colouring - almost too lovely and even to be real! (It's a shame that you can see the extra stuff - maybe someone better with Photoshop than I am with Paint Shop Pro could do a job of getting rid of them. . .

I like it but I have a couple suggestions: a vantage point a little to the left might have brought the two elements together a little more, making a tighter composition. The blue featureless sky leaves me a little cold, I'm thinking that a straight b/w rendering might've been more interesting, maybe in which the sky is made a little darker to enhance the overall contrast in the image?

Ah, how often have I been walking there.. Do we also get a photo of Kalokotronis? My favorite with his big mustache pointing the way to the battle.. I assume the lady on the pilar is Athena, but who's the guy sitting reading? Plato?

Hi Giannis,
Excellent depth of field with the foreground and backgroung in focus and the lovely blue sky. The photo gives a wonderful example of the many historic monuments to be seen there. It makes me want to go back to Greece it is a fantastic country.
Take care
Terry
