From a recent OU Women's Gymnastics meet in Norman, OK. This may at first glance appear to be a "so so" photo, but I assure you that vaulting is the most difficult event to shoot in women's gymnastics. The athletes are moving extremely fast, no flash is allowed, the vault is almost always push somewhat away from the best lighting, and the girls move faster here than anywhere else. This photo has captured an OU gymnast in a double-layout full (i.e., she twists while she flips layed out twice). All of this happens faster than any of us can see, so instinct is all you have on the other end of the camera and at f/1.2 - this is it baby!
