Ian - thats a tough question to answer. I shoot A Leica R and I don't believe the Digilux 2 is up to its standards. On the other hand, if one takes a Leica R or M slide and then digitizes it for the web, the loss in detail and quality does bring it into competition with the digilux. I am not sorry I bought the digiLux 2, I enjoy it thuroughly and I know it competes strongly with N(*&N or C!%%(*N products.

I think I bypassed the thumbnail three times before it tilted my head. What performer the cap is. Reminds me of how desperately limited the choices for wide angle digital cameras are at the moment (non s.l.r.). Do you think the strength of your Leika lanse show through here? Beautiful surfaces...I guess they're still textures... How was it lit?

This was MUCH the best approach! I like the title and the "about" story. I also love the contrast of colours and textures between the painted iron fire hydrant and the gleaming, smooth walls of stainless steel. Very successful.
