I was looking for an unusual angle on the much photographed Sydney Opera house when I came across these two frustrated phootgraphers trying to organise a group shot. One photographer is so agitated that hes up on his toes pointing. Amazingly no one in the group seems to be taking any notice of his directions and if you look closely at the group there is a third man giving directions as well!I only snapped the one shot then stood back and watched. After 10 minutes they still hadnt arranged anything and I left.
Anyone who has ever pastored a congregation will sympathise with those photographers! This was well spotted and expertly captured--a fascinating journalistic moment. And yes, a very unusual perspective on the famous Sydney Opera House.
Excellent shot David! You definitely caught the right moment. This image is so crisp and well balanced and the tones are beautiful! The story behind the pic is pretty funny too! I feel very priviledged to have a photographer of your standing (and a fellow Australian to boot) comment on my pic. Cheers Alan
I hope he took in a show while he was there ;) A great documentary photograph, and the story helps us appreciate it all the more. And, as an ex-Kirribilli & Pyrmont resident now living in Tokyo, it's always nice to see a pic of the Opera House. Regards
