What an adorable face... and great tip for doggie shots when you want them to pay attention!
I think that Artie's crop would look great as well, but I like the extra space around him, as with his expression the extra room works. Maybe just play with photoshop until it's dulled a bit in the bg?

very nicely done Marty....crop to the right of the doggies nose to eliminate the high key area on his right..vey cool otherwise...like the warm rich tones except where noted to be cropped....
