Hi Craig, Quite an unusual composition, but very effective in taking a floral macro out of the ordinary. I find the high level of details (all over) due to the large DOF refreshing. (although a smaller DOF will undoubtedly create a more 3D photo) Very well done, If this is a first try it'll either be very difficult to excell yourself or there's no limit in creativity and astonishing photos! Well done, my compliments!

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks Eric! I took the shot inside my kitchen where there was no wind. I needed a long shutter speed because I wanted to use the smallest possible aperture to get everything in focus.

Hi Craig! Why does it say N/A where your name is supposed to be?

I like the close crop, makes it stand out compared to other florals. I love the high detail and the almost black center area. I think an f32 is a bit too much, as some distance blur would make this shot a bit more 3D. Can see why you went for such a small aperture, though. It creates a nice, somewhat unusual, effect. Very good shot, my compliments! (Must have used a tripod or something to keep the camera steady, Taken indoors?)

Cheers,

Hugo

Very detailed macro shoot. I like it. BTW, how can you steady a flower for 30 second? Isn't it a live flower?

Eric
