If you have Photoshop. Open the photo and create a duplicate layer and on the layer pallet change blending mode from NORMAL to SCREEN. you will see the pic lighten, now drag the new screened layer to the create a layer icon and it will lighten again do this till you get the results you want.its not perfect but it will help greatly.

Hi Zsolt, Don't get me wrong, you are far too good a photographer not to know.... Autobracketing works, but it eats your compact flash... That's also why I'm hooked on film, just trying to evaluate the setting before I make the shot and setting the camera as I think it will turn out best... ;-) Thanks for your comment.

Cheers,

Hugo.

PS: can't promise to keep it up if you post it under your own shots.

Hi Hugo again!
Thanks for your kind comment. It was nade in absolute backlight, my richard's head hiding the sun!
I know the illuminating technics, and the playing with the exposure, but i wanted to show the contrast. The dark foreground and the sunny background. I know i could not, but i tried.
You are absolutely right according the composition! Thanks for your comment! I will try an interesting feature of our S602z, called Auto Bracketing. I hope it will help a little to find better settings.
Best regards, Radák

A bit dark, could've used a +1EV exposure to enhance the contrast and details in the dark parts. In this case I also think the composition might have been a bit more centered, as your son is a single object, that would have worked better, IMHO.

Cheers,

Hugo
