About Taken on the east side of Steens Mountain in Harney County, OR with a tripod and timer. I'm not exactly sure what the shutter speed was, as this was taken last year, and I did not note it.

Wonderful black and white. Black and white ladscapes are cool, to me..they make us look for shadows and textures...instead of seeing all this immediate color.

In my opinion the photo is very nice, it's interesting use of B&W.

Thanks Jim, I rarely do any photoshopping, other than cropping, fixing contrasts and colors that don't come out right after scanning. Sometimes I'll change a color photo to B&W, but that's about it.

Nicely done, Ed! And great to see you were a band member. All three of my children did band and the youngest (Elizabeth) is off to college for music therapy degree. Just a small note about my baseball shot and the rest of the pics in my portfolio. I am as close to a purest as I can be. I only use digital editing to rotate, crop, resize and occasionally adjust the white balance a touch. Other than that---I leave 'em as I see 'em. The shadow on the left of the glove is dark---because that is how the sunlight was hitting it. I don't set shots up. Oh, except for the "hat shot" photos.

Nice shot... Are you a Texas A&M Aggie?
How do you know the Gig'Em?

Mohammed
