it is the "final image" presented which counts in my opinion...there is soooooooo much to explore with creating images and you didn't cheat, you created!...your son is adorable and your comp is very good indeed...regards,gayle

Hey, I really like this. It's so different in composition. I'm with the " it's not cheating" crowd. One could argue that it's cheating to use an auto-exposure or auto-focus camera, or to dodge or burn in the darkroom. We use whatever tools we can in our meager attempts at art. You've produced a fine image here, well done. Regards, Randal Dean

Not cheating at all. You have perfected the image to achieve what you wanted to present and have done so marvelously and with the cutest subject, I might add. I have a similar styled photo of my niece and did some digital darkroom work on it as well but it was due to my wanting to capture her in a certain way. (btw, good eye on the hanging pic, I missed that until you pointed it out and then smacked my head)

Great shot. Why cheating? IMO, the image is in the eye of the beholder, whether that vision takes shape (or is enhanced) before or after the shutter is snapped. Regardless, I like the tension and emotion in the shot. Regards, Lou

IT's not cheating! It's just improving an image! Plus it helps to give you future ideas! I think it was a creative and artistic way of removing distracting objects from an image.
