No havent ruined it, just cant remove it from the glass without ruining it.
Its a special technique that reduces scratches appearing when printing the image onto photo paper.

Used to shoot weddings on the side (didnt we all :) tho. Many, many years ago.
Made a solemn vow never to do them ever again :)
Its a poor scan unfortunately and I cant scan the original neg as its sandwiched between two sheets of glass and oil (dont ask)
