Hi Jon, Interesting subject, but I find the way you present it a bit ambiguous. It's as if I have to choose between the landscape or the subject of the two people crossing eachother.
I think it would be nice to see some stronger interaction between them, like a brief glance into eachothers' eyes. I feel the two people are too far apart to really establish that interaction and there's too much "distortion" by the landscape. That makes it difficult to really focus on the subject implied by the title.
I have a feeling the composition you've used here would be better suiting for the landscape theme. It is a nice view for a walk or a cycle tour; The fence and the road lead the eye nicely into the distance, but for a landscape, I would like to see some more of the right hand side. (to realy see the road winding around the hill)
Hope this explains why I feel ambiguous about this one. It is a good shot, but it is a consession between two subjects, where I would've opted for the one or the other.
