When they built the dam the town had to be moved. Now, when the lake is low, you can walk along the shores and see some of the old foundations. When I happened across this one, I found a new pair of sandals sitting on the porch but no one for miles around. Comments welcome.
What a cool story behind the photo, BUT are you being honest about those sandals, are you sure they are not yours (-: anyway I think it's cool either way, and i do like the higher contrast photo below, maybe even crop off the top eigth of the image so you can only see the foundation and no land behind.
Thanks! The video card on my computer is on the fritz and I have to guess at brightness. The original picture looks almost completely black on my screen, but I'm guessing is at least somewhat visible on yours. I think I'll take a look at it on my laptop and see if that helps.
I think that the picture needs to be larger, and the contrast and brightness brought up a lot. It's very "muddy" (...lol... sorry) and loses most of the visual impact that it might otherwise have. Also, I think you needed to pull back a bit to show more of the site. A drowned town... what a sad story that must have been. But it doesn't come out in this picture.
