This is really great. I love how the light interacts with the strong simple lines in this photo. I particularly like how the straight, vertical lines of the gate contrast with the slow graceful arch. I also like the inclusion of the sign on the wall as it mirrors the subject, but with an impersonal symbol. It's a nice subtext that interests me with its potential interpretations.
I agree the right side is a bit too overexposed, but if it were brought down a notch, the subtle lighting on the subject's face might be lost, which I think would be too great a sacrifice. The utilization of the phone booth as a lighting device is wonderful - kudos for such a well-chosen spot!
very good result here...E A Poe would be glad! i can see the contrasty effect from push processing and it really works here, despite the slight detail loss on the bright right side, which a few might find mildly distracting.
