Hi Yoshi, Back to your personal style, I see! The eye for details and composition is there! I do like this "Less is More" principle (as with so many of Dieter Rams' design philosophies) A very "German" approach to photography... (And don't get me wrong here, There's one thing the germans are great at, and that's minimalistic design.....)
Sweet!
Cheers,
Hugo

yoshi, i see ;^) very clever. i had no issues with the photo itself, i just got confused by the settings.
as i mentioned before, i love the photo. exposure is great and i know how hard it is to get things like this without a tripod. very well done.
take care, tom

Tom -
read my personal blurb above....... I hope that explains it....
in this one, the lamps are blown because I also wanted to get the texture of the walls some more..... If I closed down a little bit more to get the lamp texture, then I would have lost the walls into darkness...... since I did not use a tripod.

yoshi, beautiful abstract. excellent symmetry. very nice shot!! i have a bunch similar to this from the hotel here in vegas i think you'll like. only issue i see here is the top of the lamps are blown-out. which brings me to my question: 1/16000 @ f/512???? is that a typo? i'm confused. at those speeds this should be a black frame, no? can the D100 do this? fastest i've gotten out of mine is 1/4000 and f/37. then again, my fastest lens is only an f/2.8.
i'm very, very curious.... i'd love to hear from you.
take care, tom
