This is the Poulnabroune Dolmen in The Burren, North Co. Clare, Ireland. It's an ancient burial site estimated at over 5000 years old. For anyone who views this image, it is deliberately dark to signify that it was a place for the dead from long ago and so as to make the image different from the postcard photos it usually gets! I also shot the photo from the ground and into the sun so as to dramatise the scene a bit, make the monument more imposing and the image a reflection of it's original purpose: burial, death, the end: you know that kind of thing!
Thanks for your comment! I was here last year although didn't manage to get any decent shots - was a gloomy day and busy with tourists. This is an excellent job, very mood and great perspective! Regards :)
Thanks for the commentFilipa. You've got some strong images yourself!! Your photo of the Good Shepherd is excellent and even as a thumbnail very eyecatching.
