Hi Tim,
I actually prefer the tones in the previous version, but the compostion here is nicer. Up-close the stones, especially those in the background, look much more abstract, like a mosiac, looks beautiful!

Gaja

Tone and composition is great, maybe frame colour can be discussed, but all in all good work!

Thanks for your comment Hugo. Yes, I based the redo on just the two comments you saw, both sensibly suggesting areas for improvement. I do like that image, but agree with you on the impact of this rendition, especially the aesthetic appeal. Thanks again for watching!

Hi Tim, after reading your comment, I had to look for the previous version, and I agree it is quite an improvement. The (vivid) colours are excellent, and in this case the centered composition does the subject justice. I like the subtle influence of the light, just about enough to create a feeling of depth and angles.

Just a thought: I refer to http://www.usefilm.com/image/419067.html, but there are only two comments, have you based this shot on those two comments, or did I miss something here?

The "Mighty walls" shot carries a more intense mood, though, the typical "Highlander" atmosphere. But, even though the tones in that one are a tad more natural, this one is better balanced, and esthetically much more appealing. Great shot!

Cheers,

Hugo
