Pues a ver te cuento, estaba en Mazunte, Mexico; viendo un espectacular atardecer cuando tiré el libro quedó en esa posicion, tome mi camara y le tome un par de fotos, no se que relacion tenia pero lo ví muy artistico en ese momento.
i'm trying to understand this..were you reading this book at the beach? Were you walking in the sand and just happened to find it? Can it be a philosphical way of stating what you'd want to have if stranded on a desert island? i do get that the book's title is "100 Years of Solitude", which i have read. But that book wasn't about one person's solitude. So, if this is about symbolism i just don't get it. Maybe i'm missing the whole point. If this is just about a simple composition with a foot and a book, i could accept that but here's what happens with digital technology and sand/dirt/concrete/short grass, etc. Instead of rounded polished individual bits of material, we get sharp, crispy, contrasty pixels. i don't know why this happens but it happens to me everytime and i haven't figured out how to not have this happen. It aggravates me so much that i've taken up film to see if i can produce different results. If your sand was beautifully textured, if the foreground was in focus,i would find myself more compelled to be interested in the subject. Regards from Costa Rica: kat~
