I'm in my flower period and I guess that's why I'm seeing so many here at UF. I don't know what brought it on, but I have this inclination to shoot flowers. Anyway, I think the diffuse effect is appropriate. What I don't like is that heavy-handed black border. The vertical (portrait) format doesn't go too well with me, and I think it would be better in square format. As far as flower studies go, it's pretty standard. Well executed, though.

I have been playing around with the diffused glow feature in Photoshop to give it that almost abstract look. I used the same with my Spring image of my daughter, but not too much diffused. I'm still learning!
