About On St. George's day, my archery club (Melton Mowbray Archery Club) shoot a competition based on a round called a St. George (3 dozen arrows @ 100yds, 3doz @ 80yds and 3doz @ 60yds) hence the title.

Oh, and I won the bronze medal. ;)

Recurves, impressive. But I must disagree with the carbon arrow statement. I have made my own arrows all my life and have regularly shoot 12 inch patterns at 100 yards. Granted not with a dozen arrows I typicaly shoot five arrows. I have also taken deer at over 150 yards with a long bow with oak arrows with 6inch turkey feather fletching; all of which I have made myself. Thanks for the reply. It?s always nice to meet a fellow archer!

John, I'm afraid all the arrows in this shot were shot with recurves, sorry. Mine are the ones with the two orange and one black fletching with the orange Beiter nocks and yes, they're the smallest fletchings you can get. That, coupled with carbon arrows is the only way to get grouping like this @ 100 yds!

Thanks for the comments and Happy Shooting. ;)

Look at the size of those arrows! You must shoot a compound; I have never seen fletching so small. Of course I shoot oak arrows out of a longbow. Nether the less, Great shot (both picture and the archery). I love the colors and the focus.

Ian, absolutely tremendous. I really like this shot. The lighting really makes the feathers glow. My compliments on great vision and execution. Lou
