I guess I'm just PS dumb! I have tried what you suggested before and did it again tonight following your instructions and everything appears to work just fine. In fact, on the Save for Web area, the bottom will show a size of 304K. Then when I save it, the image size reverts back to 1.31M, yet the pixel per inch is less than original. I guess I've got some studying to do.

Ray, there is also a 800x800 pixel size limit. resize the photo (the larger number of the 2) to 800 and save as. Go to file - save for web OR imageready, click on the optimized tab above the photo and adjust the jpeg compression until it is just under 360k - save optimized as another file.

Very serene photo. It reminds me of the farms in Illinois where I grew up.
Thanks for the memories....

Jeff,
I when I posted a question about having problems uploading images, I was told by Altaf Shaikh to make sure the total file size is under 360k, so I usually keep them right at that size. That means that I have to scale them down a bit. I guess shooting in fine mode hurts the sizing in order to keep them under 360k, but I am still learning this aspect of digital. What size are you uploading at?

Very nice. Don't see those much where I live. Only complaint I have is the size - wish it was larger.
