Beautiful things. I briefly for them but really hoped to see them at Ardnamurchan but had to strike it off the list in the end. That sounds like a beautiful spot, the oaks run down to the water and haven't been logged.

they eat shellfish or anykind of fish. they like to crack crabs with a stone on their belly. they also have amazing teeth. they are found all over scotland, though they are very secretive and you need to be very lucky to see them. i used to live in a very remote part of the West Coast which is the best for spotting them. There are quite a few on Shetland and Orkney too.

Are they just adorable! you can't help smiling when you see them and I can understand you feel happy just to look at them!! In that part of the world what do they eat? By the way in which part of Scotland do you see them? In California where there are plenty, they fish for shell fish and find a great deal to eat. He, I see we have the same Tamron lenz. My husband just got it for me and I quite like the results.Take care
