By the way, kids LOVE digital cameras -- many of them have never seen a picture of themselves. It's a great way to build rapport. Take a picture, show them, take another. Usually the second or third shot is better than the first.

Beautifully lit with soft, desaturated looking color. Their beauty shines through despite the circumstances (to your credit)...wonderful work.

Miguel--
Thanks for the kind words.
When I travel, I usually have a couple bags of hard candy, along with a few dollars worth of 'small change.'
These girls approached me with outstretched hands, looking for some money. I gave them a few hundred riel (less than a dollar, but still enough for a meal), and a couple pieces of candy, which you can see in their hands.
I told them (in Khmer) that they are beautiful, and asked them (pantomime) if I could take their pictures. They nodded, and I snapped off a couple of shots.

This portrait is wonderful!! It is very complete. Apart the composition, colours, light(excellent all of them), this image tells us other things more important!! How you captured the childrens? Did you ask them for the shot? Congratulations! Miguel
