Hi again Sarah,

thanks for being so understanding. I am in no doubt that the building is photogenic and do think you should go back to it. I was looking again at your portfolio and was thinking "I wonder has she ever put on an exhibition?". Well, I think you should as I'm pretty sure about 12 of your photos in a small exhibtion would look great. Let me know and just so I can see more of your photos, I've thrown your portfolio into my friends list!!!

Slán anois (bye now!)

Daithí,
You're not being cruel. I sincerely appreciate your comments and you taking the time to look at my portfolio. If no one ever said anything critcal, I wouldn't learn anything. Right? The building in this photo was very photogenic. I did not do a great job of capturing it and will probably try again. And, no, I'm not an architect, the work I am doing now is a form of (gasp!) auditing! I'm into details.
Thanks again.

Dear Sarah,

I've been looking over your portfolio and wish you continued enjoyment and success with your photography! It's great to begin photography with a completely manual camera as I'm sure you can appreciate at this stage. I get the impression that you really enjoy the cityscape type photos (are you an architect??!) and the B&W's you have (e.g. Stair To An Abandoned Hospital) are fantastic in my opinion. I also really liked your "Chicago" and "Cherubs In The Light" photos.

And now the cruel part: Of all your photos I'm afraid this one is the least inspiring for me. Please, understand that I mean this from a personal perspective. I just think the light on the door is very harsh and that the shadows are cutting across the porch in an unedifying manner. I hope you don't mind that I've been critical of this image, it's just that having seen your portfolio I think you are capable of more from this scene.

Best regards,

Daithí O' Donoghue
