Umm, well, it doesn't HAVE to be visible, Bertram. I have found a set of plug-ins for PSP and PS that does this beautifully with no "jaggies." Interested? For just US$100 for the 8bit/24bit version (complete set) for RGB images, the Power Retouche plug-ins are amazing! Visit the site to see what they can do... incredible!

Well Roger, Atget also had such a wide angle (flat-)lens and similar distortions in some of his photos, so what ? :-))) Serious: I will try that perhaps one day if I ever should learn to handle the damn PS properly. But degradation will be visible, you are right.

Lovely, Bertram. Have you tried correcting the verticals? I usually do, but PSP degrades the image quite significantly (creating jagged straight lines), and in a beautiful image like this, I am sure the effect would be noticeable. However, it might be worth doing... it is about the only area left where you might still be able to make an improvement!

wow, terrific perspective and choice of composition. The angular placement of the canal in your shot draws the viewer in, well done!
