Jon, What a great shot, I spent yesterday in and out of the garden trying to capture a bee, or for that matter anything that moved. All I got was plenty of 'he was there' shots.

A lovely title for this beautiful and hard-to-capture-shot! I?d crop off a bit on the left side and at the bottom (almost like in Hugo?s suggestion) and maybe increase the contrast + decrease the brightness a bit? Anyway, a great capture full of spring mood!

hi,Jon - like the wing blur capture and your DOF...what pretty blossoms...the natural lighting showing the natural pastel colors works for this shot...Hugo's bee rework is good, but i don't like what happened with the blossoms and background limbs (harsh and too dark)...regards,gayle

Hi Jon, Excellent capture! I like the motion blur in the wings, they add alot of dynamism to this shot. I know how difficult it is, but I think composing the bumblebee a bit more off center would create a stronger composition (cropping, of course, is another method...;o) I attached a slightly tweaked image. The biggest change is a slight dodge of the bumblebee, to bring out the textures of his body a bit more. Hope you don't mind....;o)
