Thank you for your comments Daniel, it is a great struggle when I take photos for myself, to balance the beauty and the need for security, the flowers and the history of a land that has launched so many great religions but also some of the most bloodest wars in history. But I always have to remember that every day children laugh and flowers grow and that in this photo security is tight because the people have gathered to pray for peace.

You captured a moment that many of us see only on TV. Your images say so much with what goes on in your part of the world. It is sad to think that children must grow up with soldiers around. That parents cry themselves to sleep and that tomorrow may not arrive for some. I look forward to more images from this part of the world.

I wish we could see the whole person in the shot, otherwise I feel that it is a nice and simple composition that makes the image strong.
