Beautiful. There is nothing staged about this picture, unlike some of your others. Also, your PS work is much more successful here than in some of your other works, where, if you'll forgive my presumption, it tends to deaden your pictures like a charcoal drawing that is overworked and over-rubbed. Here your muting and blending of colours adds luminosity and creates a quiet, painterly interior space. You knew when to stop. This picture makes me think of Vermeer, and that means this is one of the finest photographic portraits I have ever seen. I can't think what the original must look like. Your affection for your friend must have contributed a lot to the success of this picture. Congratulations! Rgds, Svend Videbak
