This series of photos has been compared to somethig alien more than once, although it is usually a very commonplace plant. In this case I think it's a sort of dried uot dandelion.

This is a very good shot. The DOF is perfect giving one the detail of the spider web against the blurred background. I also like the composition. Almost looks like that alien in Signs' hand :-)
